We had a fantastic week of activities this week. Thank you to Mrs Casey for teaching us gymnastics and to Claudia for teaching us yoga!
Today we went to see Robin Hood in our local hall!
We really enjoyed the show.
Thanks to the West Midlands Theatre Company for putting on a great show.
We love debating!
We have been working on debating in oral language and as part of our genre writing.
We debated for and against some topics in class!
The water activities were our favourite.
We rate this tour 10/10
We needed 700 points to win this prize.
It was hard work getting to 700, but it was worth it.
We planted sunflowers as a symbol of solidarity and peace to the people of Ukraine.
We can't wait to see out plants grow! The average height of a sunflower is 6 foot / 180cm (Taller than Ms O' Sullivan)
We reused yoghurt cartons as pots.
We also painted sunflowers for art!
World Bee Day was the 20th of May this year. We have been learning about bees and biodiversity as part of our green flag!
We also collected the Supervalu "Save the Bees" cards! They were full of interesting facts.
May is the month of Mary.
We are learning the prayer to Mary "Hail Mary" in Irish.
Sé do bheatha, a Mhuire,

Emma competed in six races and won three medals securing herself a First, Second and Third place.
We put cream in a clean, empty jam jar and shook it for 1 minute each!
It tasted just like butter you buy in the shop.
We made Pita Bread Pizza's!
They were very easy to make and delicious.
We made buns and decorated them with icing. They were so tasty!
We didn't break our Lenten Promise enjoying this treat.
We have been out enjoying the nice weather! We got to plant some beetroot and lettuce with our school caretaker Tim!
We held our annual Lá Glas in school Wednesday March 16th.
The children dressed up and wore green.
The children were also invited to bring a cash donation for the Irish Red Cross Ukraine Appeal.
Emma had a brilliant weekend at her dancing competition in Dublin.
She placed 3rd in her group dance, 3rd in her duet and 2nd in her group of six.

Anna won 1st place in her Taekwon-do Patterns in the Leinster Open Championships in Dublin.

We learned about the Famine in History.
We used the iPads to research documents and photos from the time.
We also looked a monuments around the world in memory of all the people who died at the time.
We made our own monuments using recycled materials.
We have been learning about energy and forces!
The paper clips are not tied together.
The force of the magnet is pulling is attracting them and making them stick together.

We enjoyed reading about St Brigid in History and Irish.
We made St. Brigid's Day crosses to take home!
We were so lucky to have Santa Clause visit our school.
He brought us all a selection box!
We had a brilliant time watching the Panto "Jack and The Beanstalk"
We have been doing Dance in PE and created our own dance to the song
"Rocking around the Christmas Tree"

She brought her certificate to school to show us.
We are very proud!
We had a visit from the Nutty Scientists last week!
We learned lots about Carbon Dioxide and got to try some of the experiments.
