At Scoil Eoin Naofa, we are committed to creating a school environment where every child feels safe, happy, and valued. Our Bí Cineálta (Be Kind) policy supports this by promoting kindness and helping to prevent bullying in all its forms.
We believe that kindness is more than just a nice idea—it is a powerful way to build positive relationships, foster inclusion, and support every child’s wellbeing. Whether in the classroom, the yard, or online, we encourage our pupils to:
Treat others with respect
Include those who may feel left out
Offer help and support when it’s needed
Speak up safely when they see unkind behaviour
Bullying is defined as targeted, repeated behaviour that causes harm. It can happen online or offline, and may be physical, verbal, emotional, or relational.
As part of our Bí Cineálta policy, we take all reports of bullying seriously. Our approach focuses on intervention, communication, and working together to find solutions.
We actively encourage children to tell a staff member if they are being bullied or if they are worried about someone else. We make it clear to children that telling someone is the right thing to do, and that adults will help.
At Scoil Eoin Naofa, being kind isn’t just something we do—it’s who we are.
